Problems with range expander

I have all linksys wireless gear, so I figured it would all work easily with each other. When I try to hook up the range expander, it doesn't join my already setup network, but creates its own. I do not get why, all I want is for the stupid range expander to interact with the rest of my stuff so I can get a stronger signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything has to be the same settings... both the range extender and wireless access point must have the same SSID, security settings, wireless channel... everything the same...

I got mine setup and it works great!

Great thanks, I will give that a shot. But if it doesn't work for me, spread the word that I am selling this item for fairly cheap. $30 shipped.
