It would seem that Prime 95 is not very forgiving, making it a good test platform.
As for the K6-2 errors, many of the Super 7 chipsets are not as good as they could be. I seem to remember reading that Anand would expect double the crashes from a Super 7 system than a BX based system. In my own limited experience, I have been happier with the Intel BX, LX, ZX, and HX chipset boards than any others.
Maybe running Prime 95 on these systems would point out any weaknesses...
