problems with port forwarding...

so tonight i suddenly realized... my ports do NOT show up as open when testing them.

at first i thought my router was starting to die on me or something... but now i'm running straight through my cable modem and i STILL get errors saying these ports are closed.

was specifically noticing this with soulseek and azureus if anyone was curious. both of their "test firewall" tools say 2 separate ports are closed.

i'm completely baffled on this one.

any ideas?

also: from http://www.dslreports.com/scan i get:

monitor.dslreports.com scanning xx.xxx.xxx.xxx ...
does NOT respond to a ICMP ping
does NOT respond to a TCP ping
does NOT respond to a UDP ping
