Greetings all,

I'm having some problems OC'ing my new system. I've read the "quick and dirty" guide.
Here is the setup

DFI LP Ultra D best HTT I could get by setting chip multi to 6 and mem to 100 was 297.

Opteron 165 Runs at 2.6 stable prime 95 for 24 hrs with HTT at 290 and men set to 100.
core volt set to 1.40

Mem is OCZ Premier 2@1gig sticks. Here is my sumbling block. I can get it to pass mem98 test 5 up to 250 mhz if I set the chip down to a 4 multi. It seems like any multipier above that and I can't boot with the htt at 250. In fact I can't even get the mem to run below 200mhz by using a divider to get my max cpu speed. this is at the stock 3-3-3-8 timings. Men volt is set at 2.9

What am I doing wrong? I fould the max of each setting, tried to consolidate..but something is just not right.

Any help?

I had the HT set to auto. I agree 2.6 is great...if I could get my memory to work at that speed.

It won't boot at any men divider over 100 at that htt. I would think I could at least run the mem at stock speeds using a divider

You should be able to run the memory at stock speeds for sure, and probably higher. Maybe someone with the Lanparty can give you more details, I know it has memory settings coming out of its backside.

I get better results setting it manually.

How much looser do you think I should go? Does it make any sense that it craps out when the multi is raised? It run great when I set optimal in bios.

Also since you are running the same board, how did you get the HTT so high, 297 is all I could eek out.
