Problems with nVidia 21.83 drivers

I'm having problems getting the 21.83 or 21.81 drivers to work. I've been using the 12.41 set without problems. When I try to install the new ones my screen freezes right after or at the Windows logon screen, then I have to go into safe mode, remove the drivers, and the only set I can get to work again are the 12.41s. Any ideas?

Epox 8ktA3 (KT133A), I think 4in1's are 429 or 4.30
T-bird 1.2 ghz
256 Ram
MSI GeForce2 (32 DDR)
NIC, S-B live, CD-ROM, etc
