Problems with Nero

Usually I use CD-Rs for my videos. I use nero to make a video CD and it converts them to whatever format they need to be in.

when tried this with a DVD it didn't work. It told me invalid. How can I get it to do the same thing on the DVD? These videos are bigger than 700mb so they won't fit on a CD-R.

Any ideas?

Before anyone ask. Yes, its a DVD burner.

You have to convert it to vob's... Check out doom9.net for various guides on how to achieve this.

u cant make a vcd out of a dvd. what format are the videos in? u need to convert to dvd format. as VicodiN said doom9 is a good site, i usually use winavi, dvd santa, or mainconcept to convert my videos, or if u have nero vision express, that works too

So I'm using DVD Santa to make a DVD. It takes awhile for it to convert a 700mb file.

Alright. So I burned my first video using DVD santa. I'm having a few problems tho. The sound isn't right. Its like one of those really bad voice overs. And for some reason the picture just stopped but the sound is still going? wtf?

Bought an Oem version of Nero Suite 3 and now it gives an error saying it wants money just for a DVD driver so I can watch my movie DVDs. WTF is up with that? So I guess back to Sonic Cineplayer I go.

Alright. Yet another problem.

So i decided to try WinAVI. It was going great till it hit 99%. Its been there for about 45mins now. I hit open preview window and its not even near the end. Is this just a glitch? Should I give it awhile longer to see if it finishes?
