Hey I just got started building my system,

I connected everything that i can think of but i did not get video signal.
and i think that my case speaker is not working so I am not getting any beeps or anything. is there anyone that is having this problem.

Does it have to do anything with the CMOS jumper. Cause someone told me that you would have to change the CMOS jumper setting to get everthing started. I dont even know if this board have a CMOS jumper setting. Have to go and check tonight.

Thanks a lot.

I would suggest rechecking the seating of the agp card, the processor, the ram, and the case speaker connection. Also there is a cmos jumper, but unless you changed the specs and stressed your system you wouldn't have to reset it.

What are you running in your system?

Its a 1ghz T-bird.
128MB PC100 kingston value ram - out of my ol computer going to change it soon

I will just get everything out and then reinstall everything.

i still dont know why my case speaker is not working. i tried changing the pins on the darn thing but the only thing i here from it is a buzz right when i start.

i also got our my old PCI card from my other computer, pluged that in but I am still not getting anything on the monitor.

Hope that reinstalling everthing does the trick.

Reset the bios first.

Switch off and unplug the system completely from the wall. Remove the mobo battery for 1 minute to reset bios.

Plug in your AGP video card firmly. I had a similar problem when I first built my system and I just had to reseat the card.

Finally, try it.

BTW: What kind of power supply do you have? Is it AMD approved? I had a crappy power supply in the first system I built and had video problems. (Just because it's 300+ Watts doesn't mean it's good).

Hey I finally took the darn thing back to a computer shop. I thought that the CPU is bad. So they checked it with another CPU and everthing seemed to work. so I have sent the CPU back and waiting for a replacement.

Hope everthing will be smooth sailing from here on(i know for computer geeks nothing is smooth sailing b/c we have to always to tweek the stuff).

Anyhoo..my power supply is a 300W made my Deer. i dont know but i think it is AMD approved.

Glad everything worked out for ya, Making sure the video card is seating tightly is a must. Also reading the manual b4 hand would help (especially the IRQ's). I hate shared slots 😛 they mess things up.

I couldnt get the CMOS to clear by unplugging and removing the battery and I donbelive there is a jumper for resetting the BIOS like on the MSI and Abit boards...it was trouble free till I set the CPU and Dram to 133please help LAN party soon> ScS
