Problems with Morpheus/Kazaa?

I've had some strange problems with both Morpheus and Kazaa, such as:

Kazaa:
- Netscape/Internet Explorer/Eudora will instantly crash if I do anything that involves a keystroke while Kazaa is running
- computer in general becomes very unstable

Morpheus:
- Just today, it informs me that my version of Morpheus (freshly downloaded 1.3.3, got it 3-4 days ago) is too old, and to go to MusicCity.com which is always down
- I'm not allowed to download, although plenty of people can continually download from me while this "Morpheus is too old to connect" problem plagues my system

Anyone encounter similar situations, and if so, how would I go about fixing it?

try lowering the number of search results allowed.
i had some problems with instability using bearshare because i was having it search for way too many results.

I have the same problem with Morpheus this morning, yesterday evening (10 hours ago) it worked fine.
I hope the reason their site is down is because they're updating it, they've been talking about Morpheus2 for a while now and how it would have much more features than the current version, so let's hope it's just down because of this update. It should be out in the beginning of 2002 so...

http://www.musiccity.com is back up, but I can't find any newer downloads and Morpheus still gives me the same error. Anyone else get a better result?

I've heard a rumor that the plug has been pulled on Morpheus, this really is a suck if it is true!!
