Problems with monoprice, need alternative

I ordered some cables from monoprice a few weeks ago. The delivery tracking said the package had arrived but it said "delivered to XXXXX" where XXXXX is a zipcode that is not mine. So they sent the package again, and this time this tracking says "missent".

I haven't heard back them yet, but I'm tired of waiting for these cables and I want to order from another place. Is cablesforless.com the best alternative or is there some other place?

Unfortunately they aren't much better than. Their adapter is $10, monoprice is $3-4.

My $15 monoprice order is gonna be $40-60 on any of these other websites.

So you haven't talked with someone on the phone or gotten a reply to an email? You need to talk to them. They should amend the situation.

Monoprice has been great with communication via emails. I just found out about the second shipment failing a few hours ago. I'd rather just ask for a refund and go with some other company if I can.

Thats really pricey compared to monoprice. Monoprice has DVI-HDMI adapters for a $3-4. Cablewholesale is around $12 for the same thing.

Since price is a deciding factor, have you considered shipping it somewhere else? Maybe work? Just a suggestion.

I ordered an HDMI to DVI cable from CablesForLess.com before I discovered and fell in love with MonoPrice.com

firefold.com is definitely an alternative to monoprice. Their prices are generally similar.

Though I've never had a problem with monoprice.

I used to buy from pccables.com before I found monoprice. $6 for a dvi hdmi adapter http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bi...te=pccables.com&rcode=

Yes I have.

There is a problem with my address that if you run it through an address verifier, it gets messed up. I don't understand why, but I had to call up netflix to manually change my address because their website kept auto-correcting it to the wrong address. Sadly, this isn't the first time I have had problems.

then perhaps you should check your address with 911, UPS, USPS, Fedex, maps.msn.com and verify why your address is a problem?

Supposedly the zipcode here changed a few years ago and companies with outdated software auto-correct the zipcode to the wrong one. Then for some reason, the postal service here is too stupid to correct it and just loses the package. A lot of people in this area have the same problem every now and then.

Only two places I use are Monoprice and http://www.trianglecables.com

Had great service from both but Mono's prices are usually a tad lower. But Triangle carries some things Mono doesn't. And Triangle ships out almost instantly and I have my stuff within a day or two.

Is it actually Monoprice's fault? It could've been a delivery issue.

Make a phone call and ask. Email is ineffective, you need to talk to someone. Those that aren't too lazy to pick up the phone tend to get their problems resolved faster.

QFT!

And a call to the local post office is also in order.

So why blame it on monoprice. Call them, speak to a real person and tell them everything you posted in your last two posts.

Why do some people have to make things so difficult?

I've never had a problem with monoprice, probably will eventually (with anyone), but unless its a huge problem I'll probably continue to go with them because their prices are so superior.

I don't understand why you think you'll get a different experience with a different supplier, seeing how this problem wasn't even Monoprice's mistake in the first place.

I had one problem with Monoprice sending a $50 part when I ordered a $150 part. I took pictures and emailed them to their support and they overnighted the replacement and sent a mailing slip for return of the wrong item.

That little bit of trouble is nothing compared to how much money I have saved with them.

I've ordered quite a bit of stuff from different companies. Monoprice has been the second company to change my zipcode to the wrong one. Netflix did the same thing, but they corrected it quickly. Once Monoprice knew about the problem, they resent my package and still sent it to the wrong zipcode.

It really isn't Monprice's fault, but the problem probably wouldn't happen with another company.
