Problems with Liteon 24x and CloneCD

I recently purchased a liteon 24x CDRW and I seem to be haivng issues with it reading CloneCDs that I have burned.
It has n/p BURNING the CDs as they work fine in other CDROM drives and CDRW drives... just NOT in the liteon...
any suggestions anyone? I'm VERY disheartend at this point...

Make sure the liteon is a slave drive, not a master. If that doesn't work, you can try this.

1) Power off the computer.
2) Get a jumper and connect the bottom left pins on the pins to the side of the drive.
3) Power on your system.
4) Delete your CD-drive from windows hardware
5) Power off
6) Remove jumper
7) Power on

See if that works.
 
You might try to flash the drive. LiteOn has some firmware that they released in late November that fixes a lot of these type of issues.

Could you clarify that a bit?

I did do the latest firmware flas... I was hoping that was the fix, but it's still no go.
