Problems with Liteon 24102B

Just installed a new Liteon 24102B into a Pent 450 system runing windowsXP. When I use Clonecd to dup a cd, I get a Media write error when it trys to write. It gets to 2% each time. I have tried different blanks and different write speeds with the same results. I am on the latest version of clonecd. When I put the TDK burner back in it works fine. I tried the burner in a WindowsME system with the same results. I have also tried the latest version of NERO to copy a cd and it gets an write error before it starts to write. I also tried to burn some MP3's from the harddrive and that worked, but it won't let me copy a cd with NERO or CLonecd. I tried to upgrade the firmware, but it said I'm already on the latest version. Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
i had 5 of these burners... before my wedding.
and they all worked well... especially after firmware upgrade.
