Problems with Leadtek DDR and opengl apps

Ok, I can run the opengl screen savers in both Win Me and Win 2k, but I cannot run half life in opengl. I have tried both operating systems and both the 6.18 and retail drivers off of leadteks site. Neiteher will run half life, upon leaving the command prompt where it starts scrolling onto the game screen, it gets just past the life and ammo info at the bottom and completely locks. I am not overclocking anything at all. The computer is Using a Asus P3V4X and I've tried win ME and Win 2k with the reference 6.18 and retail drivers (no retail for 2k). I've got a 600E, sb live, netgear 10/100, tekram scsi card with plex burner combo. I haven't been playing with the agp 2x, 4x settings and I haven't tried messing with fast writes to see if its the culprit, because that stuff should work, right? Any help is great!

OK *phew* I am having this problem with my Leadtek DDR on an AMD Irongate board. The symptoms are exactly what you have. When you get your solution, please inform me.

I am actually thinking on mine that it is an inadequte power supply. Just a hunch...what kind of PSU are you running with all that SCSI crap?

I'm running an enlight 250W PS. I tried it in another comp with a 300 watt power supply, but it was doing the same thing. Thus far I have chopped the ram option in the bios down to 8 megs, and it now works on the PC with the 300 watt Power supply, but still a no go on the other.

What "ram option in the BIOS?"

Are you talking about the AGP aperature?

And when you say "the different PC" are you referring to when you just swap out the power supply, or are you talking two identical systems, a swapped vid card, or what?

Sorry, I was typing in a hurry. I have to identical PC's set up that I'm swapping the video card. The agp aperature is the ram option I was speaking of, it slipped my mind when I was typing. I can only get open gl stuff to function when this is set to 8 or 4, nothing else will function properly. I'm gonna try upgrading the ps in the other comp to see if it is in fact the problem, even if it isn't it would be a nice upgrade.
