Ok so i got a new 160gb hard drive and i want to clone my little 40 gb hard drive to the 160 gb one and use the 160 gb one as my primary hd. I got the clone to work. But now im stuck. I cant get the cpu to boot off of the new drive. I aslo cant format the new drive and start over. I try to format and it says drive is in use. Any suggestions.

Did you remove the 40Gb drive after cloning? The reason being is that you now have two drives that are identical, and Windows will most likely go a little nuts.

Stick the 40Gb drive on the secondary IDE channel, and see if you can format it then, assuming that removing the 40Gb drive lets you boot with the 160Gb.

how did you get it working????

if you post a question and something fixes, please say so, and with detail.
Thank you

I accidentally let it reboot to windows after it ghosted the drive. I tried it again, this time stopping it before it rebooted. I removed the old drive. I switched the new one to master and it worked.
