problems with excite mail

I am having some problems with my excite mail. A couple of weeks ago I nuked my system and reinstalled Win 98 SE and all my other stuff but now when I try to forward an email from my excite mail inbox it creates the message as an attachment instead of just pasting it into a new email. What gives? It didn't do this before I reinstalled my system and it still works fine at work so I have to assume that it is some setting or something on my computer. The problem is what setting/file whatever is causing this and how do I correct it? I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me solve this. It's a fairly minor thing but it is REALLY annoying. Thanks.
