I have a Samsung Dvdrom TS-H352A drive on my computer. I have backed up some files from my other computer to a dvdr and try to play it on this one, but it doesn't work. Everytime i try to open it I get an error messsage saying

D:\ is not accessible
The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable

I've opened the dvdr on my other computers and it works just fine. The weirdest thing is if I go into alcohol 120%, I can burn an image of the disk from my Samsung drive and open it from my harddrive. I've tested the drive with a dvd movie, a music cd, and a cdr and all of them work. I just have problems opening a dvdr. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if i read this correctly, your reader apparently doesnt support DVD +R only -R

http://www.samsung.com/in/products/cdromdvdromdrive/dvdromdrives/ts_h352a.asp
Compatible with Various MPEG II Cards & Soft MPEG
Data transfer at 21600KB/sec (16X)
Stablizing DVD Play Back
Multi Read DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM discs read
Embedded EIDE / ATAPI Interface for easy installation
Reduces noise and vibration with DVA(Dynamic Vibration Absorber)
Compatible to a host of media
Supporting Ultra DMA 33 Mode

It would appear you have to use -R discs or when you burn a +R you will have to bitset to DVD-ROM
at the very least, you could try a different BRAND of DVD+R, since some readers are picky, tho the samsung advertises of wide media compatibility. Since you didnt mention disc manuf code/speed, comment can not be made.

An Iso/UDF image is just a picture of data without the file/format structure

Thank you for the reply. About the disk I use. All I use are Dvd-r. So far the brand I'm using is the Fujifilm 16x MIT. I took your suggestion about it being the brand and I stuck in some of my older movies I backed up on some TDK and it works. Also, I then checked out some backups I made on the Fuji and they worked.

The disks I can't get to work are the Fuji dvd-r that I used Nero to burn as a data cd. To read the dvd-r I can use alcohol and burn an image of it using the Samsung drive, but when I double click in My computer, and then my disk drive it gives me the error.
