problems with creating a virtual drive

basically i install alcohol 120 or daemon tools, and a little windows popup box comes up asking me if i want to install the drivers automatically or from a specific location for a scsi device. i hit automatic, and as soon as it finds the correct file i get a bsod. i believe it's page fault in nonpaged area. any help is appreciated; if you need any more info lmk.
