I just received my cordless Logitech Elite keyboard duo and am having a few problems with the keyboard. It works, but the extra programmable keys are not recognized for what they should be. For example, when I click the "My Home" button, it thinks it is the favorites button. When I click the Media button it brings up email. I would not have a problem if all the buttons could be reprogrammed, but not all of the extra buttons are recognized such as the F-Lock key. I would really like to get all these buttons to at least be recognized so I can use them. I am not sure whether this is a hardware or software issue. I am hoping that it is a software issue that can be fixed with a future update. By the way, I have already installed the latest 2.15 iTouch drivers from Logitech. I would like to get these problems squared away very soon.

Any insight, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I`ve the corded version and the keys work fine, your "My Home "key is easy to fix,go to itouch configuration,go to hot keys select "My Home" and then modify button.I don`t think the "F-lock" key can be modified. You should read the readme file since it tells you the limitations of some keys etc like
2.5 Using the Multimedia Keys with QuickTime.

Multimedia keys do not work if QuickTime 6.0 is running in
background.

Btw I think only the ones in the "Hot Keys" tab & " F-KEYS "( F 1 to F12 ) plus the "I-NAV " tab "Go button" can be modified in the Itouch configuration. As for your email button, mine is setup for Outlook Express, which is also done from the "HOT KEYS" then email part.

One more thing,if you go to "itouch help "from start button then "all programs" then look for logitech folder then "itouch help" it has all the how to and setup information you need.

I think you misunderstoof what I was saying as I didn't describe the exact problem. Say if I wanted to program the actual My Home key on the board in the iTouch software, when I go into the iTouch software, it thinks that the My Home button is actually the Favorites button. So in order to modify the My Home button I must go and modify the Favorites button in the itouch software, but really it is modifying the function of the My Home button. It is a little wierd and hard to explain, but hopefully someone will know what is wrong becuase this keyboard looks, feels and is awesome except for this little/big flaw. Also my new F-keys do not work. For example when I am in Word and click what is normally F8 for Save, it doesn't do anything. I would really like to know what is going on.

Help plz!

Have you tried removing the itouch software, reboot and reinstall it?

I`m almost stumped ,I would try it in both USB and PS2 mode, also have you tried changing the channel frequency.I would try the keyboard in another PC to see if the same thing happens.

Good idea, also what I didn't do but I just realized is that maybe I should try to reconnect it with the receiver. If that doesn't work then I will try using the USB port. And if that doesn't work and nobody can come up with anything then I will try to contact Logitech. I really want to get this fully working since at least for me this is my opinion of the perfect keyboard. It really can't get any better. The cordless range is further than even what Logitech claims, I can consistently get it out to 8ft before there is any breakup. Very impressive if I can just get these extra keys to work.

IT WORKS! w00t!!!! I just reconnected it and everything works perfectly. Officially I can say this is THE BEST keyboard to get. Now all I need to get is the MX700 and I will be set. Thanks Mem for the ideas!
