Been having lots of problems with nero... i have done a fresh reinstall of windows reinstall of nero but nero still doesnt want to copy a cd to cd!

does anyone know how i can do a cd to cd within the windows xp burner. (i can drag and drop stuff to be burnt but cant do a cd...how...any one know?

Cheers:brokenheart:

I think with Nero you need to let it do a test run to make sure the drives are fast enough before it lets you do a real one. Go run a similated burn and then see if it lets you copy.

Nero has worked before.... dont think i have installed anything since that has conflicted but reinstalling everything from scratch should have done the trick!

any more hints/tips?

I suspect that the drive may be faulty!

are both of your burners on the same IDE channel?

if so, make one a slave to your primary HDD, and put the other on your secondary IDE channel as a master or slave to whatever's there.

the problematic drive is that situated within my sony vaio laptop.... i usually use Nero to burn an image from cd to hard drive then after making the image, i insert a blank cdr!

but after it burns, it burns ok but it doesnt seem to write anything onto the cd! any ideas? when i try to use that cd again, it registeres that there is data on the cd but when i play the cd, nothing is there.....
