Problems with Bully

This game runs like ass. I hope there are some simple tweaks to make it more playable. I checked out the steam forums and they are all having issues as well with framerate, crashes, and such. I can tell that there is plenty of promise here, but this is a very sloppy port. I don't understand how any game company could/would release such a game without fixing the major issues. This is pretty bad.

Well, its a port from PS2 then to 360 then to PC. I never expected it to run well on the PC as it didnt on the other 2 systems it was ported from.

One advice: Don't Run bully with 4gb+ of ram. I had to run this with 3.99 gb ram in order for it to work.

what do you mean runs like ass? my system is pretty plain, c2d 6550, 2 gigs, 256 meg 8600gt and it runs fine for the most part. I've only had it crash once. I did find a bug where it wouldn't let me do one of the side missions. It's not a great port, it should run much better on my hardware, but it's very playable on my Vista 64 box.

I have the same CPU as you and an 8800GTX with 4GB RAM on Vista x64. I changed my startup so that my system would use 1.5gb RAM which is the supposed temporary fix until they patch the problems but it still doesn't solve many issues. I get repeated crashes every 10-15 minutes (meaning I have to replay that same 15 minutes since I had not saved yet) and my FPS is around 15 in most areas making it quite choppy. Occasionally indoors will give me 25-30 which is playable but with my card it should be a completely fluid framerate.
