Problems with building a computer

Just finished building a computer with the following parts:

Abit KN8 SLI
XFX Geforce Extreme 7800 GT
AMD 64 Athlon 3200+
4*Coirsair Value Select DDR 400 512Mb
2*Samsung 250GB 16mb Cache NCQ SATA2
Samsung 60gb IDE (ATA133)
Samsung CD/DVD-Player/Burner IDE
Hiper 480W 20/24-pin with SATA

and I put it all in this case:

Thermaltake Tsunami

The problem is, it won't boot. The fans spin about 90 degress and then stops. Only the PSU fan keeps spinning. Nothing else happens, so I turn it off to avoid any overheating. The HDDs doesn't spin up either.

unplug everything except the video card, keyboard & mouse. also all fans except the cpu fan. see what happens.

We hadn't gotten to plugging in stuff yet, it doesn't even boot into BIOS

The KN8 has Power LED and a LED showing wheter it's in SLI-mode or not. Both are working (non-SLI- and power-led are lit)

Wait...you list a bunch of stuff then say you haven't plugged stuff in. Which is it? Be precise: what are you trying to operate?

I'd start with the mobo, CPU, video card, and one or two sticks of the RAM first. Also, did you cleared the CMOS before attempting to boot?

I meant I hadn't plugged in any external stuff yet (keyboard, etc.). I tried with only 2 sticks of RAM at first, and I've cleared the CMOS. I'll try ripping out everything except CPU, RAM, Mobo and video.

And yes, I have a video card plugged in.
