I used this tutorial (Link) to expand my partition. Before this tutorial my machine worked fine.

I got all the error's the guide had but one
I now get that Win7 black screen with
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

If I boot from my Win7 disk it oddly automatically boots from my Win7 HDD and everything comes up fine.

Anyway to repair the BCD file? My googling told me to use easyBCD to repair the file and it didn't do anything :\

Thanks guys,

After doing a quick google search, it looks like you're in very good company. One of the first ten returned links should have a clue or solution.

But I digress...changing the partition table has never been very reliable. Heck, one corrupted or flipped bit can toast the machine. I've heard numerous cries for help from people using Partition Magic or the newer operating systems to change their partition sizes, but I have never once heard anybody who had a problem when partitioning during OS install. The safest thing to do would be to boot with your Win7 disc, back up your data, flatten the machine and start from scratch...with a clear idea of what partition sizes you want.

Did you get this straight? If not, try booting to the DVD, and doing a fixmbr.

Do I just type fixmbr in to the CMD window when I boot from the DVD? I'll give it a shot tomorrow

If that doesn't work I'll make an image of the drive for backup and just do a fresh install

I only use Win7 for gaming so it just has saved games
