Ok. I know that my p2 350 is locked, but how do I use the SEL100/66# signial to change the multiplier? It say you just change it from "high" to "low"(atleast from what i can tell) and that's all there is to it.(ofcourcee you have to change the multiplier also <g>)

But, every time i've tried this it still uses the 3.5x and boots at 350. Is there anything that I'm missing?(obviously there is...)

that wont unlock the multipier on your cpu.If you increase the bus speed, from 100 to 124,then you will overclock,to 434.Speed error control set to disable.

i know, that's what i'm running, but i was looking for 4*124, not 3.5*100.

runs stable at 464(3.5*133) but unfortunatly huge performance hit after disabling L2 cache, and most of my memory fails =(
(128 stick dose, 32 meg stick dosn't...)

anyways. i was under the impression after reading the review many many times that you could do that.

in that case, can someone tell me exactly what the SEL100/66# dose?

SEL100/66# unlocks hidden multipliers on Pentium2 350/400 only!! This switch, which toggles to High or Low enables multipliers of up to 5x on these CPU's.

ok. i found that on bsboards.com...

so why won't it work? can anyone help me?

or atleast tell me which version of the p2-350/400's that this enables?

It only works on Pentium 2's that were made before August 19, 1998. Every one made after that date was locked, which means your chip won't work with the SEL100/66# switch. :(

I have an unlocked p2 350. When you switch the SEL100/66# to low, set the multipier to 4.0. If it reboots to 350 then you dont have an unlocked chip :)
