Problems with BFSX41

I have a linksys BEFSX41 router and have three computers hooked up to it on a home networking system. I have cable internet The problem is that every once in a while the router stops working and the PC link light on my cable modem stops flashing. I recently obtained a brand new modem from the ISP and still have the same problem. I read in another post where someone had this problem with a BEFSR41 and they went back to an earlier firmware version and it solved the problem. I also tried this, going back from the most current firmware (1.50) to 1.45.3, but it has not solved my problem. This tends to happen many times a day and is very frustrating. I am convinced that the router is the problem because when I hook one computer directly to the cable modem, I have no problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
