anyone has this prob?
after installing quicktime, (having Forceware 71.20 on a 6800gt) i just
can't see any avi files!
it's horrible, even connected to internet it doesn't dowload the correct codec.
i can hear sound but on image.
i even tried installing media player 10.
same story.
any suggestions?
 
I usually have that problem when I forget to install a DivX codec after formatting my computer. You could also download GSpot and have it take a look at the video file. It will tell you what codec you need to install.
 
even the opening video in half life 2 doesn't play any more
i get this message : "cannot find vids:cvid decompressor"
vids:cvid? i thought it came with media player.
it has to be some cinepak codec, but where do i find it?
