Problems with ATI Catalyst

For some reason the ATI Catalyst Control Center does not seem to open. It doesn't start at start up, and doesn't open when I double click it. I have a x850 XT card, AMD 64 3500+, ASUS A8V motherboard, XP Pro. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong....I have tried to unistall and reinstall but that did not work. Thanks,

Unless you have Microsoft's .NET Framework bloatware installed, the ATI Control Center will not work. Uninstall it and replace it with the old Control Panel and you should be OK.
 
Yeah, I've heard that the latest Control Centers were not very good. I've been using an older version of the Control Center and just updating the drivers.
