Problems with Asus A7V

Bugsy

Junior Member
I just flashed my bios with the windows utility which follows the motherboard, and obviously something went wrong because now when i start the computer i just get a long peep and then it turns off again,, isn't there some way for me to revert it back to my old bios? I've read through the manual but i can't seem to find anything.. Any suggestions?

Regards, Berkz

search the forums for "flash" and look at the relevant threads. A program called badflash comes to mind

first thing you want to do is clear the cmos. on the asus board it is done by two little solder points that need to be shorted for a couple of seconds. they are located near the bios chip.

if after clearing the cmos the system still wont boot you will probably need to buy a new bios chip.
