My brother recently got an Acer Apiser 1681. Its got XP home on it, and when he got it, I hooked it up to my router thats currently got 2 other computers on it to conenct to the internet.
Its been working without any problems for about 2 weeks, but a couple days ago it stopped connecting to the internet. The other computers haven't been having problems.
I connected the laptop to differnt ports on the router with differnt cables, but none of that helped. I then tried to boot knoppix, but it will only load properly if I use failsafe mode. Anything else causes it hang while loading (I left it for 10-15 minutes, and it still wouldnt boot). When knoppix is running, it still wont connect.
Any suggestions?
