problems transfering data off old HD

i just hooked up my old primary drive into my new rig. I wanted to copy some files over to the new primary but it wont let me transfer .exe's or pdfs. It says they are write protected or in-use. I can transfer most other files, like mp3s and word docs.

Any ideas whats going on?

Right click the files and see if you have ownership. Also try renaming the exe's like axe's and see if it'll allow you to copy it this way. You can do the same with pdf's by naming them lie adf's. After copying just rename them to original file extensions. It could also be your anti-virus or Adaware is preventing you from copying these type of files.
