The Motherboard on my computer recently fried so I went out and purchsed another one. I decided to also upgrade the cpu and ram at the time. I also did not reinstall windows. Since then my computer has been rebooting on its own (exactly the same behaviour as someone pushing the reset button)
Windows XP Pro
AMD Sempron 2400 <- New
512 DDRAM <- New
Asus A7V8X-X <- New
I thought about reinstalling windows, but if I put my windows cd in while windows is running it says my installed version is newer and won't let me do anything. If I try to boot from the windows CD it starts into the setup and it gives me a STOP error: DRIVERS_IRQL_IS_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL (or similar)
As far as I can tell that is cause by an out of date BIOS but my BIOS is fully updated. What should I do?
Thanx for your help in advance
