I've just got a pc for xmas & i'm having quite a few probs with it.
When running games (Max Payne, C&C RA2, Neocron) are just 3 games i've tried so far. Max Payne plays for at the most 10mins and then closes its self. C&C crashes back to desktop in around 2mins or so & Neocron crashes before i've even got onto the login screen..
I also keep getting a blue screen "of death" sometimes when the games crash, or using IE, MSN Messenger n stuff like that.. The message gives the file name "win32k.sys" etc etc
Its been suggested by a few peeps that it could be a problem with faulty RAM. Is that the case, or anyone have any other ideas whats wrong??
I'm using WinXP Home Ed. Its fully updated, & my graphics card etc is also fully updated. I've tried 2 reformats they neither have solved the problem. System is brand new since xmas eve ^^
(AMD Athlon 2000+ (1.67ghz) / GeForce4 MX 440 With AGP8X (128mb) / 256mb RAM...)
