Problems playing US Marshals DVD...

I'm in Europe right now and a friend of mine is having a problem playing this DVD. I can get to the dvd title screen but the "Main" selection is greyed out. I can use the arrows to select the special features and another topic I can't remember off the top of my head, but I can't get to the main selection. I figure is has something to do with the region feature of DVD's. Can anyone give some tips/info on finding and/or fixing my problem?
 
Look on the back of your DVD for information pertaining to the Region coding, its a big white number encircled by an oval shaped globe. I believe Europe is Region 2. If your DVD says Region 1 than you were sold a US/CANADA Video. If it is Region 2 and your player never has trouble playing Region 2 than I don't know what to tell you.
