I did the Coolbits registry hack and the sliders for changing of the speeds of the memory and core have appeared.

I only change the speeds of the memory by 10 mhz (call me a conservative oc'er!;)), and press test. A message pops up telling me what will happen, and I press OK. After this, my monitor goes black and never recovers. Anyone know wtf is going on?

This happens about 75% of the time and its driving me ape.

Here are the specs of my machine:

Gigabyte GA-7DX (AMD 760 chipset)
AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (no oc)
256 MB Crucial
Visiontek Geforce 3 Ti 200 (believe it has 5 ns RAM)
Running Windows XP

All help will be greatly appreciated!:D:|

Have you tried NVmax? I'm using it right now...

I got my Vtek 6564 yesterday... and have got it up to 220/475 so far under XP.

I would try powerstrip and see if that does the same thing, if it does then it is possible your card isn't bent to go that high. But I also experienced a problem like that, seem like specific ocs would not work but I could go higher then or lower then that specific frequency and it would run fine.

Thanks for the advice guys. After trying a second time, I managed to overclock it to 200/420. Not bad, 3D Mark2001 went up by about 600 points or so.

Think I'll stick to Coolbits, thanks for the advice thou!
