i've been trying to tweak my duron for the past 2 days, and i've finally gotten it at a good speed w/ perfect stability. the only problem is that after all those reboots my system is forgetting about a partition on my hd- woops!. i've used norton disk diag about 5o times but it still hasn't worked. i've run endless tests in windoctor and nothing seems to get me back my hd!
what do i do?
thx in advance

try underclocking it dude, it sounds that that might be the issue, if its you can underclock it, and you see the partition, then i guess your system is not as stable as you thought it was at that desired speed. soorry.

so, what happened at default speed, was the partition still not recognized? if not the, you might have to fdisk the disk, however its weird the fact that you youve run utils and it doesnt give you any errors. hmmm... any other info? funny noises, do you have any data in ther? can you ther there in dos (assuming win9X)

norton disk diag does pick up problems with the partitions and attempts to fix it but to no success.
nothing's wrong w/ the drive. it's in perfect working order.

oh well...i guess i might have to fdisk and format again. it doesn't have much on it anyhow.
anything else i should check??

thx again dood
