Problems intalling Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro in Windows 2000

I'm trying to install my new copy of Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional on a Windows 2000 SP3 System. The installation procedure goes well until the file copy. Then it just stalls at about 5-10% with a message displayed below the progress bar: "60 sec. remaining" or something like it. I had left the setup program running for almost 1 hour with no success. Nothing happens.
