Problems installing XP Pro

Brand new mobo,cpu and memory. While installing XP I get a "i/o error xp cannot continue". This is on a fresh install. Anybody know what my problem is?

Asus A7N266 mobo
Crucial PC2100 256 mem
AMD XP 1700+ cpu
IBM 20 gig 7200rpm HD

check your bios on haddrive setting. seem like you need to enable LBA or auto detect.
the error appear after your OS starting install and reboot right.
