First of all, I have a Athlon64 3200+, Chaintech Zenith mobo, gig of 3700 Buffalo RAM, 2x 120 SATA WD and 1x 80gig Seagate HD's and a 480 true power. My problems started when i moved my components from this old case i was using (had windows running fine off the 80gig) to my newly painted lian li. I got everything aranged, got the sata drivers, but whenever i tried to install windows to the sata drives, id either get one of three errors (some boot/error error, or 2 different blue screen errors, where there is a list of things, not sure what the content was) OR xp doesnt recognize anything to install to, even though the HD's were set up in RAID0 and the drives were succesfuly installed. and when i got xp to install onto my 80 gig, ill reboot for the first time after installing drivers, and it wont get past the "DMI inspection" part of loading. Im at a loss, Any help would be great. Thank you.

I don't know if you have yor bios set up correctly but i am going to assum you do We also need to more about your sata set up what brand ect..... the problem I am having is on many raid0 set ups there are know provisions for the Pata H/D So if you would open your bios than open build raid array and give all information listed than we can go from there.

True that

Remove the drives your not installing windows to. Format the drives your going to use then build the array and install window.

1. Make sure you've updated your motherboard and SATA controller BIOSes.
2. Make sure that if you are installing on a RAID array, you disconnect any other HDs from your system to ensure that XP assigns the correct drive letter to your install partition.
3. Make sure that during XP setup, you press F6 and provide a floppy disk with the latest SATA drivers from your controller manufacturer.

Good luck.

Zinn2b, I refuse to be dragged into a flame war with someone who has not yet demonstrated the ability to read or write proper English. You are the one who misinterpreted the original post and responded with unintelligible advice. Nowhere in his post did he mention that he was trying "to build a Raid 0 array with three drives 2 the same size and one smaller HD", as you so eloquently interpretted it. If you want to go toe-to-toe with me on contributions to this forum, I'll gladly accept.
