Problems installing Win2K Advanced Server

MustISO

Lifer
When I install using the CD, it hangs at the Starting Windows 2000 screen (the part before you pick a hard drive for installation). I tried using the 4 floppy's and at the part where it says to insert the CD I get the error "Unable to locate EULA" I know that I've done the install before, I'm not sure why it's not working this time.

My boot disk is a Seagate SCSI running on a Symbios card, I load those drivers using the "Press F6" during install.

Any ideas?

Most symbios drivers are supported natively by 2K and XP... maybe you are just confusing it. Now if you are using a RAID controller with symbios controller, but with say an ATTO RAID bios, then you will have to edit out the symbios annotations in the textsetup.sif file on floppy number one. Otherwise just try to do the install with the native supported symbios drivers on the installation CD. I have an ATTO Raid controller and have had to learn all this by trial and error. However I now can use my RAID controller even in XP where others swear it wont work.. 🙂 BTW if you try to install drivers that Windows doesnt recognize as correct for that controller it will definitely lock smooth up at the "starting windows" point. Ive used all my controllers with XP, 2k,.net, and Advanced Server.
