Problems Installing Vista (I'm stumped)

So I put together a new slim system with a Biostar motherboard and an AM2 chip. When I install Vista it works perfectly, takes me to the logon screen then restarts as it should, when it turns on again, it won't boot Vista. It just shows me this black screen that says

Booting 'Vista Loader

ACPI

Vista loader 2.1.2

and that's it, nothing happens after that. I ran a diagnostic on the hard drive and it seems alright. I redid it with just one partition and it still won't work. I've installed Vista on three other computers and never had a problem like this before.

Any ideas? I searched google for an hour before turning to the forum, but I couldn't find anything.

Just tried everything on that page, still the same error

I also reformatted, which, I assume, would take care of those operations.

I had the same problem,it turned out it was because when I tried to set up a dual boot I didn't do a fresh install of vista (I had vista first) so I ended up with a windows.old folder on my drive.When I used the cmd prompt in vista repair and used BootRec.exe/ScanOs the only installation of windows it could find was windows.old,so I booted xp,deleted the windows.old folder,booted the vista cd went to repair cmd prompt and did all
/fixmbr
/fixboot/
/rebuildbcd
and rebooted it worked

a couple notes.
if you use ScanOs after you deleted windows.old it still wont see the new windows until you fixboot and stuff.
Also the windows.old folder can be a pain to delete,you might have to open it and delete files in clusters.

just noticed you said you reformatted but do you possibly have an old windows folder on another drive.

If you're getting a VistaLoader problem, stop pirating your OS. That's an activation bypass hack.
