Problems installing newer PCI video card in an HP 6330 Pavilion. -HELP-

Hey there...

Trying to install a Visiontek GF2 MX 200 PCI card in this Pavilion 6330. No luck.

Older 2MB PCI cards work fine, but the newer cards refuse to initialize. Is this a known problem? HP has been of no help, and flashing the BIOS did not work either.

Ideas?

Thanks...

Does the board have onboard video? If yes does the computer boot but it only displays on the main built in connection? Can you go into the BIOS and toggle between AGP/PCI (even if there isn't an AGP slot the onboard vid is considered AGP).. we need a little more info...

Or there might be a jumper on the motherboard to disable the onboard video...

Thanks for all of the suggestions...

Turns out that it was a problem with that motherboard and the Nvidia GF2 MX200 chipset.

Tried an ATI card and it took right off! Go figure...
