Problems installing my new video card...

I have a K7s5a MB which I was using an old AGP graphics card with.

I got in on this week's OM MadDog PCI FX5200 Plus Geforce PCI Card.

I went to my bios before I took out the AGP card and told it to disable the AGP and that I was using PCI video card. There was one option about IDE PCI? But I left it alone.

The computer started loading again just fine after I saved changes, like I had never even made a change.

Then when I turn it off and install the new card...
My computer won't come on with this new card and the CDROM just keeps trying to read.

My power supply is from an antec sonata.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

What are you doing wrong? You're using a PCI videocard for one.
Anyway, I had the same problem with my K7s5a pro and my PCI AIW VE.
Remove it from the PCI slot below the AGP slot and move it down one slot ;)
And you're welcome but my name's not brian.

Thanks,

But its a no go still.

Moved it one slot down and same problem. And I went with the PCI because all I need the card for is to utilize my LCD's DVI port.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Brian

Sometimes when working in my system this will happen and a bios reset fixes it. otherwise, remove all other PCI cards and try each slot. Not sure what else to do besides that if it won't post.
Seriously, though. PCI is bad. I speak from VERY recent (in fact current) experience and you don't want to go from agp to pci. There is sometimes even lag on the desktop. Return it and get an AGP card. Please.
