Problems installing a VIA PCI Firewire Card

Hello,

I am having trouble installing my firewire card on a Windows 2000 machine. It goes through the hardware wizard and find the default drivers in the inf folder (the ones that come with windows) but then says "error installing...cannot find the file specified"

Any ideas? If not, does anyone know where I can get updated drivers from via, I cannot seem to locate them on their sites.

what is the model number of the firwire card, and is via the manufacuter, or do they just provide the chipset? also which pci slot is it in? Have you tried moving it to another?

Not sure on the model number, will try and get inside the case at some point.

The card came in a DV editing kit from Swann Electronics but I am not certain who made the card, they may have done...but there are no drivers for it on their site, no response to my email yet

It's in the PCI slot next to the AGP slot but the AGP slot is not in use, I haven't tried changing slots (I didn't because of the case design, the expansion card covers are not replacable ones!) but I may try this when opening the case I think
