Problems installing a MX300 Sound Card..

Ok, when I get all the software installed for the card, I only have one thing stopping me from hearing sound through this..

The sound blater pro emulation has a ! on it.

when i open it up in properties I get this.

If you want to use this device, you must disable another device that is using the resources this device needs.

My motherboard is an Abit KT7-RAID..

if any of you can help me i would appreciate it.

Chances are you are maxxed-out on IRQs.
If you really don't need SB Emulation (DOS mode), just disable it.

If you do need it, try disabling a com port or USB port to free the IRQ it needs.

I hope you are using the A3D ref drivers instead of the DiamondMM ones.

I only have two other cards installed, the rest is free.. i do have a usb mouse though, let me try it.

im using both the drivers, when i install the diamond ones it tells me to use the a3d ones too?

i disabled the sb emulation and i still cant hear any sound.

Trashman is correct.
Uninstall the Diamond ones and install the ones he links to.

Are you sharing any IRQs with your MX300?

Give us more info on your system (MB, slots occupied, IRQ assignments).
