Hi!

I have problems with my rig.
3D Mark 2000 freezes, I think the temp is too high, some games crashes... Why?
I've been running CPU Stability test for SEVERAL hours (12 or more) without any problem.

My rig is like this:

Motherboard : ASUS P3V4X (driver VIA 4in1 4.29), HS on the chipset and southbridge, 92mm FAN blowing in low front and 80mm fan blowing out in top back and of course the fan on power supply.
CPU : PIII700E
Cooling : AlphaPEP66U with Delta fan on 7 Volt
Converter : Soltek
Videocard : Powercolor Geforce 2MX 64MB (Nvidida 6.50)
RAM : 128MB PC100 and 128MB PC133
AGP : 2X
OS : WinME
DirectX : 8.0

I've tried the CPU with FSB = 133MHz (Vcore = 1.75V) and everything works fine as long as I don't run 3DMark2k then it freezes in the helicoptergame. The CPU-temp idle is around 34 Celsius and full load it's around 45-47 Celsius, is that too high?

I can run some games with FSB = 142MHz (Vcore = 1.85V) and it works fine but, of course, 3DMark2k freezes. The temp gets up a little to appr 50 Celsius with this setting..

I haven't o/c the Videocard.
I've tried with just 128 MB RAM PC133 - no difference and of course only with 128MB RAM PC100 - no difference...
I can't run the mobo with 4X AGP then it really goes crazy...

What should I do to get a little closer to stability in 3DMark2000 (1.1)?

Thx in adv
/force

You might try the Nvidia 7.17 drivers, they work great for me. Out of curiosity, you did install the VIA 4 in 1 drivers yes?
