I am having all sorts of problems at the moment.
First of all my internet account seems to have been deleted, and the ISP has not answered my emails or phone calls.
My rigs are quickly running out of cached WUs
My new machine was acting really weard, Seti Driver would not show est. time, percentage, (all of those stats) :| < caused me to reformat
The modem in my new machine died (at least I hope its the modem)

The list keep going on like this... my production will be bad for a while.

Edit______________
looks like I'm back to normal now, got my modem working, the internet is back, seti driver is displaying the time stats now. Whew now I can relax.

Sometimes bad streaks happen. 🙁

Just hang in there. Do one thing at a time.

You will eventually conquer them all. 😉 🙂

I feel for ya!

I had a streak like that too, seems everything was breaking down.

I ended up upgrading some machines to faster mobo's & cpu's and really upped my production, feeling that success is the best revenge against bad times!

I hope your bad ones turn around to the good ones soon 😉

Thanks for the support, I'm slowly working my way through.
I got my internet connection back up, it seems that my ISPs "unlimited" plan is only 200 hours. Fortunantly they gave me a new account until the end of the month.

now for the real problem:
my modem appeared to quit working several days ago. Since it was nearly new we were able to return it to Staples with no hassel. So I install the driver, insert the card, boot up, and it still doesnt recognize it. So it must be a motherboard problem then...correct? The only thing I can remember doing that could possibly dammage the motherboard was setting the memory ratio to 50% and pumping the FSB to 200mhz. It booted fine and I shut it off immediatly. Should that have damaged the modem, the new one would work, but it doesnt.
If none of you have any ideas, I'll try to install a network card I have laying around and see if thats recognized.

Atleast I have my internet back...those were the worst 3 days of my life. 🙁

Check the BIOS settings, see if there is one that enables/disables the modem, and make sure it is enabled. What OS are you running?

I'm running XP home.

normaly when you instal a card and you boot up windows it will let you know that it found new hardware, but in my case it just boots up like it wasnt even there. I would try a diffferent slot but my case has cheap knock out slot covers.
