Problems Burning Data on DVD-R

I've been trying to burn data on my DVD-R's. I had a Lite-On dvd burner, now i'm using a NEC Dual Layer burner.

Everytime I try to burn data files on the dvd-r, the process would finish. But when I pop back in the dvd, nothing shows up.

Any Help?

I used Nero by the way
 
Nero has a nasty habit of tying their software only to the burner it came bundled with. Updating may fix it, but you may need to buy a new version.
