Problems buring DVD-Rs in Nero 7

When I try to burn a DVD Video some of the time Nero only burns about 1/3 of the disc then says it has completed successfully. However if you look at the bottom of the disc only 1/3 of it has been burned. What is going on? For the time being I am using Deepburner and it works fine, but why isn't Nero working?
