Problem with XP Pro on NT Resource Domain...

I was doing some testing at work and want to try to use XP Pro on my work computer. Here is the question: I added my XP computer to an NT Resource domain. It added without a problem, but occasionally when I power up and try to log in, it will say that it cannot find the domain controller and I cannot log in. Now I know that the domain controller is up and functioning otherwise we would have a serious problem at work, but in any case, if I reboot the machine, it will let me log in, or it may take more than one reboot. Anyone run into this problem? Thanks for your help.
