problem with x-fi front panel

I have a x-fi extreme music card and decided to get the front panel upgrade kit for it and it seems the remote is broke. When you hit a button does a little red light flash on the end of the remote like a tv remote does? Anyone know if I would have to send everything back or just the remote to get it replaced?

No light on the remote, just checked mine.

You do need all the drivers correctly installed before the card will work correctly with the front panel though.

Yeah I got new batteries for it yesterday it's not that, I guess i'll reinstall some stuff.

Does it show up in device manager when working properly?

Make sure you have it setup correctly and make sure you have the drivers installed.

I got the one cable going into my sound card and the other going into a power suply connections. I just reinstalled the drives but still not working. I can plug my headphones into the front and use the sound control thing that works fine.
