Problem with wireless mouse & KVM

I use a KVM switch so I can use the same keyboard/mouse/monitor with my two desktop computers (one WinXP Home, the other WinXP Pro). The mouse/keyboard connections are PS2-type. I've been using a wired USB mouse with an adapter to connect to the KVM, and everything has worked flawlessly.

I recently switched to a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 mouse, whose receiver unit I plug into the KVM with the same adapter. The mouse movement works fine, but button clicks are really flaky. Sometimes the computer (either one) recognizes a mouse click or release of the mouse button; often it doesn't. It's so bad that I've had to go back to the wired mouse, which still works great, although the wire is annoying.

If I plug the receiver unit directly into either computer's USB port, everything works fine, but obviously that's not an adequate solution for using both computers.

Any suggestions? Are there KVM switches that work better with USB/wireless peripherals? Is there another possible cause for this?

Nemmind, I think I found the solution, thanks to MS tech support (!). Apparently I had the receiver too close to the mouse; I just moved it farther away and it seems to be working okay; so far, anyway. Maybe this'll help someone else with the same problem.
