Problem with WinDVD...? No video...?

I have WinDVD 2000 version 2.1 and had not been using it for a while but when I decided to watch a movie on my PC it auto runs and has the sound but not the video...? I get the window with the WinDVD logo but it just stays even though the movie starts and plays...? WTF...? Is there a setting or something...? I have reinstalled it 3 times and even have another disk but no help...?

HELP...!
 
OK then - drop res to 800 * 600 or 1024 8 768 as a test.
If that doesn't work, use DVD Genie to futz - could be a region problem?
